If your child is interested in joining band now and didn't meet with Dr. Becker in the Spring of 4th Grade, please email him - joshua.becker@district196.org to help your child get started.
Band Lessons
Band lessons will occur during the school day at Woodland on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. Your child will have their band lesson on the same day each week (stay tuned for changes for 3 and 4 day weeks), but their time will rotate through the school day so they do not miss the same activities in their homeroom/specialist.
The band lesson schedule will begin in September and run through mid-May.
Large Group Band Rehearsal ("Big Band")
WL "Big Band" meets on Tuesday mornings in the gymnasiums from 8:15 - 9:05. Students can arrive beginning at 8 am.
Big Band rehearses from mid/late October until mid-April. More information will be sent home soon.
