Band

We are excited to have 5th Grade Band this school year! 5th Grade band will be a virtual experience to keep our students safe.

If your child is interested in joining band now, please send Dr. Becker an email - joshua.becker@district196.org and he will set up a meeting with you and your child.

Updates and Materials will be posted in your student's Woodland Band Schoology Course. Students should be checking their Schoology daily for updates and other information from Dr. Becker.

Dr. Becker will email a weekly update on Wednesdays and the next week's lesson schedule each Friday through Infinite Campus.

Please contact Dr. Becker if you need assistance - joshua.becker@district196.org

Welcome to Fifth-Grade Band at Woodland!

Band is an incredible opportunity to build brain cells, make new friends and experience the power of music! Students receive a weekly small-group lesson from September through mid-May and have a weekly "Big Band" rehearsals before school on Tuesdays from October through May.

Students begin learning their instrument during the summer at four different two-week beginning band sessions. Students have band lessons during the school day every week through May 14. The lesson times rotate each week to avoid students missing the same part of class.
